Periodically throughout the 2019 Toy Stories exhibition, we invited gallery visitors to create their own tableaux with toys similar to those used by Aaron Pickens in his paintings. We also engaged in an ekphrastic ad lib activity, creating alternate narratives for the paintings. Here are a few of our favorite things…
