20 North / 30 Years
April 19 – June 24, 2023

Our 30th anniversary exhibit– celebrating new and legacy works by artists who have been iconic exhibitors through each of the three decades of 20 North Gallery’s impressive history

20 North Gallery and the artists will be welcoming friends and collectors at the free Public Reception for 20 North / 30 Years and 20 North Gallery’s 30th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, May 19, from 6 – 9 p.m.
The exhibit continues through June 24, 2023.
Before 1993, St. Clair Street was virtually abandoned—now it is a thriving arts/entertainment zone and “Arts Hotspot” in the downtown Toledo landscape. 20 North Gallery was the pioneer in this location—and was so successful at attracting people who had never been downtown before—that their section of downtown became the home of 5/3 Field, the Huntington Arena, restaurants, shops and other destination points in the Toledo community. 20 North Gallery is now the oldest, independent gallery in Toledo, Ohio.

To mark this milestone anniversary, the 20 North / 30 Years retrospective group exhibition will include photo-realistic oil paintings, abstract glass sculpture, scientifically-inspired ceramics, mixed media, neon, jewelry and more in celebration of the power of art as a cultural and economic driver in Toledo.
The list of prestigious regional artists to be exhibited begins with realist painter Michael Sheets, whose solo exhibition The Absolute Beginning was the inaugural show presented by 20 North Gallery in 1993. Other distinguished artists in 20 North / 30 Years include Leslie Adams, Kimberly Arden, Aaron S. Bivins, Steven Conine, Philip Hazard, Tom Marino, Tom McGlauchlin, Jack Schmidt, Michael Sheets, L. Sue Szabo and Anastasia Wagner. Both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional artworks will be on display and available for purchase.
