Toledo Federation of Art Societies (TFAS) will host a session of artist talks at 20 North Gallery, featuring two of the exhibited artists of the TFAS100+3: Juried Members’ Exhibit: Toledo painter Deb A. Davis and the exhibit’s Founders Best of Show Award winner Chelsea Younkman, also of Toledo. The talks begin at 2:30.

Internationally-exhibited artist Deb A. Davis is the former chair of The University of Toledo Department of Art and will share insights to her artwork on display, Summer’s Night in the Midwest, and the progression of her work from photography to oil on canvas.

Chelsea Younkman is a part-time instructor for Adrian College (Michigan), Owens Community College (Perrysburg) and The University of Toledo. She will share the process she utilizes in her charcoal on paper drawings and her inspiration for the self-portrait series she entered into the exhibit, The Winner and the award-winning Rocked It.
A Question & Answer session will follow each artist’s talk.
Sunday, November 22, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Arts Commission Third Award winner Kay Weprin, of Toledo, and Honorable Mention winner Margaret Lockwood-Lass, also of Toledo. The talks begin at 2:30.

A retired art educator and past president of the Athena Art Society, Kay Weprin will discuss her artwork on display, Touch of Reality, and her process of mixed media collage paintings.
Bowling Green State University instructor Margaret Lockwood-Lass will share insights to her digital mixed media artwork, including the two on display in the exhibit, Infrared Dreams and the award-winning Seed Dreams. (Lockwood-Lass had originally been scheduled to present on November 8, but postponed her talk to allow for additional audience participation time during that day’s presentation.)
A Question & Answer session will follow each artist’s talk.
On both occasions, the doors will open at 2 p.m., so that patrons may view the exhibit prior to the talks. During the presentations, light refreshments will be served by Venue lounge.
To maintain social distancing, only 15 attendees will be permitted to enter the gallery for each event. The demonstration, talks and question times will also be live-streamed on Facebook: @ToledoFederationofArtSocieties

20 North Gallery is open Wed. – Sat. from noon to 4p.m. by call-ahead appointment. Please allow 15 minutes from the time of your call until the start of your appointment – to provide time to sanitize the gallery prior to your visit.

A printed exhibition catalogue has been created for TFAS100+3, including images of all the accepted artwork and a listing of all award winners, artists and exhibition information. This 96-page, bound catalogue is available for sale at 20 North Gallery during the exhibition; price $20.
TFAS permanent collection-branded merchandise (notecards and coffee mugs) are also available for sale in the gallery during the run of the show. Proceeds of these sales support TFAS’ mission-based programming and maintenance of the TFAS collection.

TFAS 100+3: Juried Members’ Exhibit is a new project of the Toledo Federation of Art Societies (TFAS). TFAS was established in 1917 with the mission to unite area arts organizations, promote area artists, and maintain a permanent collection of Toledo area artists’ work. TFAS is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity under the Nonprofit Corporation Law of the Ohio Revised Code.
20 North Gallery’s regular exhibition hours are Wednesday—Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. Currently, the gallery is open by call-ahead appointment during those times.
