This autumn, 20 North Gallery is excited to present the work of a museum-collected artist who has been a celebrated figure in the Toledo, Ohio arts community for five decades. Known for his sculpture and painting alike, Garcia will debut brand-new pieces in addition to showing a selection of earlier favorite artworks. The exhibit will include ceramics, bronze sculpture and paper mâché as well as paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic.
This exhibit will continue through December 21, 2024.
Robert Garcia (Whitehouse, Ohio)
With early roots in Texas, Robert Garcia has a distinguished 50-year career in the arts in Toledo, Ohio. Garcia studied art at The University of Toledo (Ohio), where he earned a fellowship to The Yale Summer School of Music and Art (Norfolk, Connecticut). His work forms part of numerous permanent, public and private collections of institutions including The Arts Commission (Toledo, Ohio), The University of Toledo, Toledo Botanical Garden (Ohio) and the Toledo Museum of Art (Ohio). Garcia is a former instructor in the Toledo Public Schools system.
