Pop-Up Exhibit and Wine Tasting at The Renaissance

On Thursday, April 11, from 7-9 p.m., 20 North Gallery presented 12 stunning porcelain-with-silver artworks by Tom Marino in a one-night-only show at Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel. 20 North Gallery, Renaissance hospitality and the artist welcomed visitors and hotel guests for fine art & conversation at this pop-up exhibit, which was hosted in the sophisticated main lobby lounge. Paired with the gorgeous views was a selection of wines complementary of the Renaissance Hotel.
The pop-up exhibit partnership between 20 North Gallery and the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel brings fine artwork to the hotel’s venue spaces once every month. For the month of April, the spotlight was on museum-collected ceramicist Tom Marino, whose work examines themes of transformation and enlightenment, making connections between personal or historical explorations in alchemy, discovery and modern science’s pursuit of knowledge.
Toledo artist Tom Marino’s porcelain with silver artworks appeared to glow at this exciting event, which featured both wall-mounted and pedestal pieces. Selections from his popular Crucible and Reliquary Series were installed, alongside the debut of cone and tile works. All artworks on view were for sale at this open-to-the-public and free-to-attend event.
