Free Public Opening Reception
Friday, July 12, from 6 – 9 p.m.
On view starting July 12, the Consuming Culture exhibit explores themes of commercial spaces, advertising art and pop culture. The show features traditional and new media artwork by James Dickerson & Dustin Hostetler, Philip Hazard, Bernadine Rais and Michael Sheets.
Viewers will delight in the iconic imagery depicted in Michael Sheets’ Diner Still Life oil paintings, as well as Northwest Ohio commercial locations captured in Bernadine Rais’ paintings, also in oil. Among Phil Hazard’s work in the exhibit is a stunning 12ft-wide Neon and mixed media collage. The exhibit will debut brand-new digital illustration by Dustin Hostetler, paired with photography by James Dickerson, curated specially for Consuming Culture.
20 North Gallery and the artists will be welcoming friends and collectors at the free, public opening reception on Friday, July 12 from 6 – 9 p.m. The event will feature a free, light tapas buffet and cash bar by Venue.
